  Waterborne preservative are commonly used to treat PWF lumber and plywood.

Lumber and plywood treated with CCA preservatives for PWF construction must have a minimum .60 pounds of preservatives per cubic foot of wood.

All foundation lumber and plywood that is required to be foundation grade must be identified by a quality mark of an ALSC-accredited inspection agency.

All PWF lumber and plywood will have two stamps, Lumber Grade and Quality Mark.

Lumber cuts that are less than 8 inches from finish grade must be dip.

Foundation materials are dried after treatment. Plywood moisture content of 18% and lumber dried to 19% moisture content.
